A lamp harp is a U-shaped bar that attaches below the lamp socket and extends above the light bulb, creating a connection point for the lampshade to attach to the lamp base.

Harps are generally designed to work with a lampshade that has a washer fitter (also called a spider fitter) and is most common in the USA. We offer harps in many sizes, including: 7", 7.5", 8", 8.5", 9", 9.5", 10", 10.5", 11", 11.5", and 12".

Our Lamp Harp Kits accommodate standard light bulb sizes,

allowing enough room between the harp and the bulb to prevent overheating.

Durable and sturdy, the harps will NOT wobble after assembly.

Every lamp harp at Royal Designs, Inc. includes a lamp finial. Finials make it easy to secure your lampshade!

In order for the bottom of your lampshade to sit below your lamp’s light socket, you’ll need the right size of harp. Select a harp that's at least 0.5 to 1 inch shorter than the vertical height of your lampshade.
